Starbucks, shopping and a sigh of relief x

Collecting exam results has got to be one of the most nerve racking experiences in anyone's educational careers and to add to the stress at university our exam results are posted on our online accounts after an email notification is sent to you. Our whole year got sent the email during our 2 hour workshop so we all had to make the crucial decision do we look now? Or later when I'm at home with a cup of tea or vodka depending on the result? Thankfully after I'd finished shaking and finally brought myself to open the email link it transpired that I had been worrying about nothing. I got 2, 1sts and a 2:1 which I am over the moon with. To celebrate my mum, dad and brother came up to Manchester to spend the day with me and this is what we got up to.

Firstly we met at Costa for a quick catch up before splitting up me and mum going clothes shopping and the boys covering sports direct, the apple shop and all manner of shops. We then reconvened for lunch at pizza express where I ate a mozerella and tomato salad with a side of dough balls. After lunch we went back out for shopping round 2 before having a cheeky Starbucks and then hopping in the car to explore didsbury and withington. After a gourmet version of sausage and mash followed by a peach and raspberry crumble I returned back to my flat.

Now onto the fun stuff here's what I got on my little shopping spree..........

From Super Dry I bought this green pink and silver ombre cropped jumper for £39.99. Although this is a little pricey I thought the colours were really unusual and as the jumper is cropped it can be carried into the spring seasons as well as worn now.
From House of Fraser I bought a new mac lipstick in the shade Fast Play (costing £15.50) which is an amplified finish lipstick. Its a gorgeous nude/pink/brown that is perfect for everyday wear and as its mac it's just a beautiful quality.
From H&M I bought this silky grey top (£12.99). It has a nice drape and is great under a range of jackets and again can be carried into the spring.
From Bank I purchased 2 items as they were having a full clearance sale. The first item was a white wrap knitted jumper costing £17.50. This can be dressed up or down making it very versatile. My second purchase was an absolute bargain. It's a red or dead dress which originally retailed for £55 but cost me £16.50! I love the metallic pattern as its something totally different to any dress I've ever seen before and it has gorgeous cutout detailing on the back.
Finally the piece de resistance. I got myself some new converse trainers. I already own the black leather ones but from many nights out have got a bit scratty so I thought I would get my kits on these gorgeous silver ones. As well as this office were doing a 20% discount on converse and vans for 1 day only so instead of being £54.99 were only £43.99.

I had an amazing day out with my family and got a few nice bits a pieces for my wardrobe what more can a girl ask for.

Until next time
