Body Shop Christmas Range x

For today's post I'm going to be telling you lovely people about The Body Shop Christmas Range and Yes before you start now that Halloween and Bonfire Night are over it is now perfectly acceptable to go into full on Christmas mode.

Recently I was lucky enough to be invited to The Trafford Centre Body Shop Store for their bloggers Christmas launch and my God did it make me feel festive. When I walked in the displays were beautifully presented with bows and glitter everywhere (what else could you want). Throughout the evening, treatments were on offer such as face masks, skin cleansing, hand massages and makeovers. I had a skin cleanse and face mask before having my makeup redone. I really enjoyed the skin prepping as my skin definitely needed it (thanks to the 1 too many vodkas the night before).
The makeup was ok, not particularly to my taste but l am very particular when it comes to my makeup so really I was a tricky customer to please. We also had nibbles like mince pies and strawberries and bubbles to drink.
After our treatments we browsed the store for some early Christmas gifts either for ourselves or for others and as a Bloggers deal if we spent £20 or more we got a free £20 gift set. So obviously I went ahead and bought a couple bits so I thought I'd share what I got with you guys.

The first thing I picked up was a set with the 'rock the night' eyeshadow palette in and a shimmer sprayer. Alone the Palette cost £15 so for £20 you got the sprayer thrown in which will be so much fun to use over the festive season.
The eye palette is lovely and the shades all blend really well, it has 4 shades (Scandinavia Steel, California Lapis, Australia Quartz and Black Canyon Onyx) and these 4 shades can click in and out of the palette so if you wanted to mix and match a few of the palettes you could. I got the darkest palette as I do tend to go for more of a smokey eye but there is a gorgeous berry toned one and a neutral gold for those who don't want to go for such a statement look.
My next purchase was a matte liquid lipstick in the shade Mauritius Dahlia 017 which is a gorgeous deep red shade which again is perfect for winter and Christmas. I really love the formula of this as it is not drying on the lips but does go to that lovely matte finish. It does take 2 layers to build up enough colour but the shade is lovely and it smells really nice too.
Vanilla Chai Hand Cream & Liquid Lipstick
I also picked up a vanilla chai hand cream because I wanted one of the Christmas items to get me in the Christmas spirit. Vanilla Chai is one of the 3 Christmas scents this year the others being Spiced Apple and Frosted Berries which are all lovely but for some reason I thought the vanilla scent lent itself better to a hand cream than the other scents.

After all this I had spent £30 so got a free £20 gift set so I chose the Fuji green tea scent as I've always been intrigued to try it out. In the set was a 250ml shower gel, 50ml body butter, 30ml sugar scrub, 100g exfoliating soap and a bath lily so definitely worth it as a free gift.

After I had finalised my purchases and said my goodbyes I thought it'd be rude not to check out the rest of the Trafford Centre.

In superdrug I picked up some essentials that I'd been meaning to buy for a while such as the John Freida Sheer blonde colour renew shampoo and conditioner, Nivea cleansing milk, cotton pads, Nivea post shave balm (which makes an excellent primer and is usually on offer for about £3), a deodorant and then some makeup. Makeup wise there was an offer on for 3 for 2 plus you got a free Pom Pom keyring so I picked up the beauty cult classic Collection concealer, my trusty L'Oréal foundation and a L'Oréal eyeliner pen and of course a grey Pom Pom for my keys.

My final purchase of the day was in Selfridges. If any of you didn't know I actually work at Selfridges in the Exchange Square store and had seen the Selfridges Xmas baubles online but they aren't available in my store. I really wanted one as a memento of such an achievement of actually working at Selfridges and because they look so god damn cute. It was £5.50 and so so worth it and it will definitely be having pride of place on my Xmas tree this year.

So that was my Trafford centre shopping trip and everything I picked up whilst there. If you haven't checked out The Body Shops Christmas range yet I would highly recommend it as it really makes Christmas so easy as it's all basically packaged for you and there are so many options there really is something for everyone. Also if you want to see a makeup look with the items I bought in The Body Shop head over to my YouTube Channel.

Also just a quick Thank You to all the team at the Trafford Centre Body Shop store who gave myself and the other bloggers such a lovely evening.

Until next time
